RV Electrical Systems
Mobile RV Electrical Repair
Find out why power, charging or an electrical circuit has stopped working
Dead outlets, batteries that will not stay charged or a breaker that keeps tripping can interrupt your stay. We test the affected circuit and its power supply at your RV, explain what we find and quote the recommended repair before you approve the work.
What we hear from RV owners
Electrical symptoms to tell your advisor

Find why power or charging has stopped
Tell us which outlets, lights or appliances stopped working and whether you are using shore power, generator power or batteries. Those details help guide testing of the supply, charging equipment and affected circuits.

What we service
Trace the electrical problem to its source
A problem at an outlet or appliance can begin elsewhere in the power system. We test the relevant supply, connections and equipment to explain what needs repair. Equipment we service includes converters and chargers from WFCO, Progressive Dynamics, Parallax, and Iota. Inverters and inverter-chargers from Xantrex, Magnum, Victron, and Go Power. Transfer switches from Progressive Dynamics, IOTA, and Parallel Systems. Surge protection and energy management from Progressive Industries, Hughes Autoformer, and Southwire.
Diagnostic & Troubleshooting
Dead-outlet tracing, breaker and GFCI faults, phantom parasitic draws, intermittent power, voltage-drop testing, and full amp-clamp load analysis. Done with true-RMS meters, clamp meters, and load banks, not guesswork.
Converter, Inverter & Transfer Switch
Converter diagnosis and replacement, inverter and inverter-charger service, automatic transfer switch testing and replacement, and shore-power inlet repair. Upgrades to modern multi-stage or lithium-compatible chargers when the old unit is done.
Battery & Charging
Battery load-testing, charging-system diagnosis, and replacement of failed lead-acid, AGM, or lithium banks. Battery isolators, DC-DC chargers, and solar-controller integration for owners running mixed charging sources.
How the visit works
From diagnosis to an approved repair
Free written service estimate
You tell us what's happening. We quote the visit in writing so you know the number before we schedule.
Diagnosis at your RV
An RV Service Now technician arrives with the test equipment, isolates the fault to 12V or 120V, and identifies the specific failure.
Repair estimate, then the fix
After diagnosis, we provide a repair estimate covering parts and labor. Your advisor confirms parts availability and timing, and repairs proceed with your approval.
Why this matters
Check the supply and the RV as a system
Tell us whether the fault occurs on shore power, the generator or battery power, and include any displayed code. We use those details to plan the diagnosis and check the affected equipment before recommending a repair.
If a receptacle is warm, discolored, or smells burnt, stop using it and book the visit.
Common questions.
Who will actually be working on my RV?
An RV Service Now employee arrives in a company vehicle and works directly with our service team. Tell your advisor about the RV and the work you need so we can match the visit to the right technician. Certificates of insurance are available on request.
Nothing works on shore power but the generator runs everything. What's wrong?
Usually the automatic transfer switch or the shore-power connection itself. The transfer switch decides which source feeds the RV, when it fails to switch back to shore, generator power still passes through but shore doesn't.
My batteries die overnight even when plugged in. Converter or batteries?
Could be either. A failing converter stops charging without throwing an obvious code, and an aging battery bank simply can't hold a charge. We load-test both to isolate which one it is.
Why do my GFCI outlets keep tripping?
Usually a downstream appliance leaking a small current to ground, a fridge heating element, an ice-maker line, or a moisture-compromised outlet in the wet bay. We test in the order most likely to find it.
Can you replace my converter with something better?
We evaluate the installed converter, battery type and charging needs before recommending a replacement. The estimate identifies compatible equipment and any related wiring or protection changes.
My surge protector or EMS keeps locking out at the pedestal. Is the RV or the campground at fault?
Treat the fault indication as a reason to have the supply checked. Record the displayed code, keep the RV disconnected from a suspect supply and ask the campground to check its pedestal. We can assess the RV side of the system; avoid bypassing a protective device to restore power.
What's the difference between a converter, an inverter, and an inverter-charger?
A converter turns 120V shore power into 12V to run lights, water pumps, and 12V accessories and to charge the batteries. An inverter turns 12V battery power into 120V so you can run TVs, microwaves, and outlets when off shore power. An inverter-charger is both in one box, plus an internal transfer switch. We service and replace all three.
Do you handle warranty electrical work?
Share your warranty or service contract details when you call. We can discuss diagnosis, documentation and the provider authorization needed for the proposed work. See our claims service for the process.
Can you work on my electrical system at a campground or storage lot?
Yes. Driveway, storage lot, campground, resort. Wherever the RV is parked. We arrive in a fully stocked service van.
