What we hear from fifth wheel owners

Fifth wheel concerns we can evaluate

Front cap gel-coat crazing, cracking, or delaminating in the Florida sun
Roof sealant cracking around AC gaskets, vents, and slide toppers
Hydraulic landing gear or leveling jacks slow, unresponsive, or leaking
Big slide binding, motor overheating, or rack teeth chewed up
Residential fridge shutting down on inverter, or the inverter faulting under load
Fireplace, washer, dryer, or dishwasher on a full-timer unit needs service
Generator won't start, throws a fault, or trips out under load
Two ACs and only one is cooling, or one is short-cycling
Water heater fault, no hot water, or leaks at the tank
Kingpin box, pin box, or fifth wheel hitch clearance concern
Slide-out floor delamination, soft spots, or evidence of a past leak
Buying a used fifth wheel and want a pre-purchase inspection

Plan around your fifth wheel's use and storage

Tell us whether your fifth wheel stays on one site or travels regularly, along with any changes in slide operation, leveling, appliances or water systems. That helps your advisor plan the visit and discuss maintenance before your next move.

Driveway, storage lot, campground, or resort. Wherever the RV is parked. We arrive in a fully stocked service van.

Common questions.

Who will actually be working on my RV?

An RV Service Now employee arrives in a company vehicle and works directly with our service team. Tell your advisor about the RV and the work you need so we can match the visit to the right technician. Certificates of insurance are available on request.

Do you work on residential appliances in a fifth wheel?

Yes. Samsung, GE, Whirlpool, LG, Bosch, and other residential-grade refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, and induction cooktops that come installed in higher-end fifth wheels. On the electrical side we diagnose the inverter and transfer-switch behavior that decides which power source these appliances see.

What about the hydraulic landing gear and leveling system?

Hydraulic landing gear and auto-level jacks are one of the most common failure points on a fifth wheel. We service Lippert, HWH, Bigfoot, and Equalizer systems, including pump replacement, cylinder rebuilds, hose replacement, and control-board diagnosis. See our leveling and jack repair page.

Front cap crazing and gel-coat cracks. Can that be fixed?

Yes, and it depends on how far it has progressed. Surface crazing can be sanded, filled, and refinished. Structural cracks in the fiberglass require repair of the substrate before the gel coat goes back on. Either way, we assess before we quote.

My generator won't run. Can you service it on site?

Yes. On-board Onan and Cummins generators are one of our core service specialties. See our generator repair page for the specific fault categories we handle.

Can you diagnose a slide that binds only when the RV is level?

Yes. Slide behavior is heavily influenced by rig level, and we diagnose the difference between a slide motor problem, a slide floor problem, a seal drag issue, and a level issue. That's what a diagnostic visit is for.

Do you inspect fifth wheels before purchase?

Yes. Fifth-wheel pre-purchase inspections are one of our most-requested services. Dealer lot, private seller's driveway, storage facility, or campground. See our inspections page for what's covered.

Are you insured to work on customer RVs at campgrounds?

Yes. RV Service Now is fully licensed and insured in Florida, and we carry the coverage most campgrounds and resorts require of on-site contractors. We can provide a certificate of insurance on request.
